The Kingdom Kennels Story

Andy Haymes, the owner of Kingdom Kennels, has had bird dogs of various breeds all of his life and raised litters to keep his lines intact. Keeping several for his own enjoyment for hunting, Andy would sell the rest of the litter to other hunters and dog lovers. Dog breeding has been the trade of Kingdom Kennels for 40 years.

Andy began his own line of shorthairs in 2000 with a solid-liver female purchased from a hunting guide in West Texas. Haymes’ “Deedee Diablo” was bred to Lancerd's “Oregon Joe” who was the son of a two time national field trial champion. All of Andy's and Kingdom Kennels' short hairs are descendants from this pair.

“In 2011 we started with our first German Wire Hair pointer “Banjo” and we fell in love with the breed. They are versatile, intelligent, loyal, have a huge prey drive and good on/off switch.

Andy and his wife Cheryl expanded Kingdom Kennels’ breeding to inclued German Wirehair Pointers in 2013 with great success.

“We are a small family-owned breeder that know and love each of our dogs intimately. We will only have 1-2 litters each year so call ahead to get on our wait list.

We only sell to owners that we meet in person so you must pick up your puppy or arrange to meet us. We want to get to know our puppy's owners.”
